Israeli Ambassador Reuven Azar meets Telangana Industries Minister

Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu held a meeting with Israeli Ambassador Reuven Azar, to discuss mutual cooperation and collaboration between the two nations. During the meeting, Israel extended its willingness to provide technical expertise for the Musi River rejuvenation project.
Recognizing Israel’s global leadership in artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity, the minister urged for collaboration in these domains. He also sought Israel’s support in defense, agriculture, water management, advanced technologies, and industrial development.
Highlighting ongoing initiatives, Sridhar Babu informed the ambassador about the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence City spread across 200 acres. He requested Israel’s assistance in providing advanced training for trainers in AI and cybersecurity. Additionally, he sought expertise in wastewater reuse technologies. The Minister emphasised that Telangana’s newly established Young India Skill University is equipped to supply skilled human resources for the industries Israel might invest within the state.
The Minister suggested that with Israel’s support in innovation and industrial setups, Telangana could emerge as a global hub, exporting products to countries worldwide. He also urged Israeli startups to share technology and expertise in defense and aerospace sectors.
During the interaction, Ambassador Azar proposed collaboration between the two countries in infrastructure development, a suggestion the minister endorsed. Furthermore, Azar extended an invitation to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister Sridhar Babu to visit Israel.
The meeting was attended by Ken Uday Kumar, President of the Indo-Israel Chamber of Commerce and others.
